Dublin Inquirer: Inspired by The Spire
This was a commissioned piece by the Dublin Inquirer, which is an independent newspaper funded through readers subscriptions. The aim of this cover was to create an illustration centred around the topic of Dublin City and brighten the readers day during lockdown, keeping their minds occupied away from the overload of Covid related information. The inspiration for this illustrated piece came from the monument in the centre of Dublin known as 'The Spire' and my interest in surrealism and folklore/fairytale stories. A mix of fairytale/modern day. The message for this illustration was to remind readers not to take life too seriously.
